I previously gave this product a really bad review not because the scale wasn’t great while it was working but because it just died one day. I bought this in the US, and have since moved countries therefore did not imagine any warranty will be upheld. Soon after the review was posted, I was contacted by the owner, Bill, with an offer to replace my scale. I am very impressed by the effort he went to ensure I was happy and that he sincerely stands behind the product. This seems to be one of the few companies in this day that seems concerned by consumer satisfaction and I have no problem recommending the product!
So a few highlights of this unit…
It is nice and small and supposed to measure up to 11 lbs. I haven’t tested out the max but on the other end it accurately measure small amounts.
This has a TARE function, not available in all scale but a must for me. Tare fn – if you put an empty bowl on the scale, you can “re-zero” the scale so that the bowl does not count. You can then add items into the bowl and see how much they weigh. Limited handling of ingredients and you can measure one ingrediant on top of another. i.e You put on your mixing bowl. Hit TARE. Add in ingredient one, see its weight. Hit TARE again to reset it to zero at this new starting point. Add in ingredient two, see its weight. You get precise information about every step of what you’re doing.
Easily switches easily between grams, kilograms, ounces and pounds.
The LCD display on the scale is also nicely angled so its crisp and easy to read when you stand over a counter.
