Amchoor is the Indian name. It is made by dried mangoes(raw) and grinding them in a powered form.

Manjulaji can I make the kachoris before and freeze them and fry when I want to serve? Also can I use something else instead of ginger powder?

I bought this at Patel Brothers and I didn’t know what it was. I don’t know if you have to eat it with chutney. So, I ate it by itself. Majula, yours looks a lot better than the one I bought.

When you fry these do not try to keep them warm under a top or in the oven, otherwise they no long retain the crispy texture.

shaeda sikander August 11, 2012 at 6:24 am

hi,, after frying these kachoris, can we reheat them in microwave, or is it best to make them fresh b4 eating?
